Scooping out some ice cream for dessert is probably one of the quickest ways to satisfy your sweet tooth after a meal. Well, why not take it up a notch with this fun Italian take of a coffee/ice cream dessert. It's too simple to even call it a recipe because it's basically some hot espresso or strong coffee poured over some vanilla ice cream. I decided to put my own twist by making it mocha flavored by mixing chocolate and coffee together. Garnish with a few Pirouline wafter cookies and you have yourself a a really simple dessert that is fancy enough to serve for guests.
Ingredients:
Vanilla Ice Cream
1/2 a cup of boiling hot water
1 Tbs of Instant Coffee ( I used Nescafe)
1 Tbs of Chocolate Syrup (I used Nesquik brand)
Directions:
Stir the instant coffee and chocolate syrup into the hot water. Pour over scoops of ice cream when ready to serve. Top with some wafer cookies or cookies and Enjoy.
Pirouline's are the perfect garnish!!
ReplyDeleteYUMMY!!! I love everything about this! You'd have to hid those wafer cookies from me though, otherwise, I'd have like 5...or 10..
